CONCRETE CLEANING · YAKIMA VALLEY & TRI-CITIES

Concrete cleaning that brings a tired driveway back

A simple, effective way to refresh your concrete and keep it well maintained. We remove grime, buildup and debris so surfaces look better and last longer.

Chapter 01

What actually builds up on a driveway

Concrete is porous, so it holds on to whatever lands on it. Oil drips from the truck, grease from the grill, dirt tracked in off the orchard road, and algae in the shaded strip along the north side of the house. None of it hurts the slab right away. It just makes a sound driveway look worn out.

That dull, tired look is the usual reason people call us. The concrete is still in good shape. It only looks neglected, and a patio with fire pit soot or a walkway gone green can make a whole property read as run down.

Cleaning is a maintenance service, not a structural repair. If the slab is sound and you want it to look and feel fresh again, this is the right job.

How we clean it without hurting the surface

We start with high-pressure washing to lift surface grime and debris. Where the buildup runs deeper, we use acid cleaning, and we bring efflorescence cleaners in to reduce the mineral residue that shows up as white haze on the surface.

The pressure and technique are matched to the surface. Done correctly, pressure washing removes buildup without etching or damaging the concrete.

We set realistic expectations up front. Cleaning can change how a slab looks dramatically, but some stains do not disappear completely. Freshly cleaned concrete still looks better, feels safer underfoot and is a lot more inviting.

Chapter 03

Why cleaning comes before sealing

Sealer needs clean concrete to do its job. Cleaning is often the first step before sealing or resurfacing, and sealing right after protects the fresh surface from moisture and stains so it stays clean longer.

Central Washington winters are hard on concrete, with water getting in, freezing and thawing over and over. A clean, sealed slab sheds that moisture instead of soaking it up. Cleaning on its own is also fine as routine upkeep, and for most homes a yearly cleaning keeps driveways and patios looking their best.

When the concrete is structurally sound, cleaning is far less expensive than replacement and causes minimal disruption. You keep the slab you have, with no demolition.

Questions about concrete cleaning

Professional concrete cleaning removes oil, grease, dirt, algae, and stains from driveways, patios, and walkways, restoring the surface without replacing it.

For most homes, a yearly cleaning keeps driveways and patios looking their best. High-traffic or shaded areas that collect algae may benefit from cleaning more often.

Cleaning restores appearance by removing built-up dirt and stains. Resurfacing adds a new surface layer. Cleaning is often the first step before sealing or resurfacing.

Not when it is done correctly. Professional concrete cleaning uses the right pressure and technique for the surface, removing stains and buildup without etching or damaging the concrete.

Sealing after cleaning protects the fresh surface from moisture and stains and helps it stay clean longer, extending the life of the concrete.
